The Summoning

We will be gathering in a few days for our White Box Ceremony.  Its calendrical position makes it pretty much the first Gathering for the Awakening Tribe in any given year.  We look back at the past and forward to the future…allowing time-lines to do the dance of the Spiraling Present.

An important part of the gathering is what the 12 Many Friends call The Summoning.  It involves all those people, places and things you want to join you in Ceremony.  While the 12 Many Friends, in giving us ceremony instructions, have told us for many years to “make it up” as we go, for the Summoning,  their instructions are very specific.  Here is what we say:

  • We do Honor and Summon _____________________
  • Whether known to us or not known to us,
  • Whether in form or not in form,
  • Whether from the Past, the Future, or the Present,
  • We do so Summon.

In the blank, we list who and what will be with us in ceremony and continue until there are no more things to list. Then in the silence, we fill our hearts with Appreciation and Love Unconditional,  thus completing the Circle and beginning the ceremony.

Many have had a wonderful experience when using Summoning for such things as job interviews, at the birth of a child or in remembrance at a death, in a health crisis, or celebrating a lottery win!  It seems to be one of those powerful, all-purpose, Universal Communicators … sort of like the “ceremonial stem cell,”  if you will.  Play with it.

So, even if you cannot join us in person for the White Box Ceremony, join us in Spirit and consider how the Summoning may work in your life!
